Yesterday, I began a new project with a Valentine’s Day theme. I can’t remember the title, but it’s a redwork heart from The World of Cross Stitch. I’ll be sure to post a photo when it’s finished 🙂
In doggie news, Philip the yorkie-poo is settling in really well. He’s been with us 2 weeks. He and our other dogs get along really well. Surprisingly, there have been no fights. The cats pretty much ignore him, though he loves to chase them; we’re working on that 😉 Phil seems to be acclimating to our routines and is learning to go outside without a leash (we have a nice, fenced yard). He likes the snow, too! Hubby had to clear a spot in the yard for the two littler dogs to do their business because they’re so short, LOL. Philip still has his Jekyll/Hyde moments, but we’re just being patient and trying to teach him that he doesn’t have to worry about being pestered or harmed. At this point, we’re thinking that he may be living with us long-term…we’ll see!
Here in Maryland, we’re having some bitterly cold weather. It snowed earlier in the week (about 6-7″) and Hubby didn’t have to go to work for 2 days (the powers-that-be closed the office). Since Monday was a holiday, he was off for a total of 5 days! Sweet! Unfortunately, our daughter had to work, but since Daddy was home, he was able to drive her to & from – such a nice guy, he is 😀
I hope you’re all enjoying your weekend! Happy Stitching!
